“Cesena FC made me feel valued”

“For me this is a great opportunity, besides getting back in the game: it’s a new division, but it’s a reason more to do my best”. With these words Marco Calderoni introduced himself at the press conference held this morning at Orogel Stadium Dino Manuzzi. The defender continued praising the B&W club: “I am very committed and happy to be here: the presidents were really encouraging. It is a very constructive environment and I have been welcomed by all the team: I will do my best, that’s for sure. I know the fans are very passionate: it is an important club and as soon as I was told they were interested I had no hesitation. I am proud to be here”.

Calderoni then briefly recalled his achievements, including his debut at the Manuzzi: “Lecce has been my most remarkable experience, we aimed at not being relegated and got promoted instead, and I also played in the Serie A championship. Coach Liverani taught me a lot, it was exciting. Why many teams? It’s because I am up for new challenges, especially when you no longer feel on the same wavelength. Cesena FC made me feel valued from the start and I can’t wait for this new adventure to begin. My first match as a pro was actually in this stadium in 2008, when I was playing for Piacenza: I think it’s good luck".
